Enhancing Social Connections and Skills

Strengthening Bonds and Building Social Confidence

Social engagement and community participation are vital to an individual’s well-being and personal development. Our Assistance with Group Activities service, provided as part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), is designed to help individuals with disabilities connect with others, build social skills, and enjoy a fulfilling and active life. Through a range of group activities, we empower our participants to expand their social networks, enhance their communication abilities, and experience the joys of shared experiences.

Group activities can include anything from arts and crafts, sports, and fitness classes, to community outings, educational workshops, and cultural events.

Our Approach

We understand that each individual has unique interests, abilities, and goals. That’s why our approach to group activities is centered around the person. We work closely with our clients to identify the types of activities they enjoy and what they hope to achieve through participation. Whether it’s making new friends, learning a new skill, or simply having fun, our group activities are tailored to meet these personal goals.

Our group activities are designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. We take into consideration the physical, cognitive, and sensory needs of our clients, ensuring that all activities are adapted to accommodate different abilities. This inclusivity allows every participant to engage fully and confidently in the activities, regardless of their disability.

Our group activities are led by experienced facilitators who are skilled in creating a supportive and engaging environment. They are trained to encourage participation, foster positive social interactions, and ensure that everyone feels included and valued. Our facilitators are also attentive to the needs of each participant, providing the necessary support and guidance throughout the activities.
